I have had an affinity for working with horses since I was old enough to hold a pen and draw pictures of them. I still enjoy sketching, painting, and equine photography.
I took lessons, leased, and owned horses from age 6 to 18 primarily schooling hunters/equitation. Unfortunately my horse had several injuries that took time off to heal. Rather than competing, I rode a number of project horses.
When I went off to college, I sold my horse and began working as an instructor/trainer for various clients in the greater Philadelphia area. I have had the pleasure to school a variety of disciplines: endurance, cross country, fox hunting, trail riding, hunters, equitation, and jumpers.
I also have 6 years of experience teaching students of all ages. I love to teach and appreciate the opportunity to help a horse and rider understand one another.
I strive to learn more from every situation, and am grateful for the horses and people who have taught me thus far and provided me with new opportunities.
